Review:I have been here a few times, one of the few places that I can rely upon to satisfy my craving of a good crepe. You’ll need to fork out an extra $2.50 for the gluten free version, though. With a fairly good variety of toppings, and clearly a Euro-influenced owner who likes his/her Nutella, my personal favourite is the Monkey Magic- fresh banana, walnuts and maple syrup plus vanilla icecream. This crepe is about $14, plus the extra $2.50 for the gluten free version. Add a coffee and you’re paying $20!
Anyhow, my crepe was freshly made and arrived promptly, and my coffee arrived nice and hot, and weak just as I’d asked.
The only small disappointment was that the crepe was a little burnt in the middle. I could only taste a little of the burnt flavour right in the centre of the crepe- you can’t see it from the picture but underneath the centre point of the crepe was a big burnt crispy bit – which affected maybe two mouthfulls. For a place specialising in crepes – they really shouldn’t be burning them in the first place, and most certainly not SERVING them if they have accidentally burnt them! Having said that, the crepes are quite large and I did enjoy most of it. The actual crepe itself doesn’t have any “gluten free” taste at all – it is really lovely.
